REDUCE FINE LINES & WRINKLES

Cosmetic Injectables

Cosmetic injections, which are also referred to as cosmetic injectables and dermal fillers, are non-surgical solutions to add fullness to the face, enhancing shallow contours, and reduce lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers can be effectively used for lip augmentation and hand rejuvenation.

We extensively researched each dermal filler we use and provide our patients with the highest medical grade products on the market. We are proud to offer cosmetic injections with Restylane®, Radiesse®, and Sculptra®.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE

What is Restylane®?

Restylane® is an FDA-approved gel based dermal filler composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the skin. Our practice uses the complete line of Restylane® hyaluronic acid fillers to provide effective and natural-looking results. Hyaluronic acid makes the skin smooth, supple, and resilient but our skin produces less hyaluronic acid as we age. Fortunately, Restylane® is effective at replacing hyaluronic acid in the skin and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds. Treatment areas are typically around the mouth, the cheeks, and the back of the hands.

Restylane® injections are a non-surgical procedure performed in our office. Topical anesthetics can be used with ice packs to reduce discomfort. The entire procedure takes only 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the areas being treated and has a longevity of 6 to 12 months.

“Injecting a patient with dermal fillers is a form of art that requires great dexterity, an eye for detail, and also an element of creativity. At times, we will inject more than one product in the same patient to obtain the desired results. For example, we may choose to use Sculptra® to create some deeper volume, and then Radiesse® and Restylane® to fill in all other areas afterwards. Obtaining optimal results sometimes depends on knowing how to best combine different products for the benefit of the patient!”

ALL ABOUT SCULPTRA®

Sculptra® is an injectable collagen dermal filler composed of poly-L-lactic acid, which is absorbed naturally by the body. Natural collagen is present in young, healthy skin but dissipates over time. Sculptra® is an effective FDA- approved aesthetic solution that replaces volume loss by treating nasolabial folds (the folds between the nose and mouth) using a deep dermal grid pattern (cross-hatch) technique.

Treatment Areas

We use Sculptra® to treat the temples, pre-jowl regions, the mid-face area, lateral cheeks, jaw line, and the lateral chin regions in the areas of the marionette folds – which are the creases below the corners of the mouth. Sculptra® is an effective dermal filler for various types of deeper volume loss.

The Procedure

Sculptra® injections are non-surgical and performed in our office. Since Sculptra® can be mixed with lidocaine prior to injection, most patients do not require topical anesthetics or ice packs to remain comfortable. The injection procedure takes between 15 and 30 minutes.

See Results

Sculptra stimulates collagen production, making results gradual. Referred to as a “liquid facelift”, the average patient requires one to two bottles per session with at least two sessions spaced a few weeks apart. Results typically last up to two years.

DISCOVER RADIESSE®

Radiesse® is a collagen based FDA- approved injection filler for non-surgical volume replacement and facial wrinkle reduction. Young, healthy skin has high levels of collagen, which gives your skin volume and elasticity. With time, the skin’s collagen decreases significantly and leads to the development of cosmetic issues such as wrinkles and folds.

The Radiesse® Boost

Radiesse® can restore the skin’s youthful appearance by replacing lost collagen. Radiesse injections can be used to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds and can also effectively treat pre-jowl depressions, mid-face volume loss, contour irregularities, and volume loss in the hands.

How Does It Work?

Radiesse® is made of microspheres of calcium hydroxylapatite, which is a substance naturally found in the teeth and bones. Radiesse® injections are performed as a non-surgical procedure in our office. Radiesse® provides instant fill while simultaneously stimulating collagen production.

The Procedure

For a patient’s comfort, Radiesse® is now FDA approved to be mixed with lidocaine prior to injection. If practical, ice packs or topical anesthetics may also be used. The Radiesse® injection procedure can take as little as 10 to 30 minutes. Most patients enjoy their Radiesse results for at least one year.
